In fact, Halloween night in Lahaina is a world-famous event known as the Mardi Gras of the Pacific. Lahaina is the former capital of the Hawaiian Islands & was the whaling capital of the world more than a century ago. Its tourist attractions, including a replica of a whaling brig that sits in the harbor, help Lahaina retain the feel of a whaling village. |
